Dates for Upcoming Heatons Repair Café Sessions

The Heatons Repair Café is held on the third Saturday of each month:
17th February
16th March
20th April
18th May
15th June

Located in the Community Hall, behind St Pauls Church Heaton Moor Rd each session runs between 10.00am – 12.00noon.

Launched in October 2023, our skilled volunteers have successfully repaired 117 items! We can’t list them all but here are some examples:

Lamps/torches
Toasters/vacuum cleaners/kettles/dehumidifiers
Garden tools/knife sharpening
Repairs to zips, trousers, puffa jackets, moth eaten jumpers, teddy bears, bags, belts
Bike brake cables, pedals
Stools/chairs/small tables

The volunteers will do their best to repair any small household/clothing item that can be carried into the community hall, including bikes, and hopefully save the item from going to landfill.  Pop in, watch and learn or simply join us for tea, cake and a chat.

Aims:
-Prevent everyday items from going to waste

-Reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing new items

-Encourage learning and sharing of skills in a social setting

-Maintain repair expertise and spread this knowledge

You can also top up your refills of liquids for bath, shower, soap, laundry. The Good Life will join us each month.
