Plant, Save and Protect

June 29, 2023 @ 7:15 PM - 9:00 PM

Sustainable Living in the Heatons (SLH) invite you to attend the third in our series of Low Carbon Heatons events.

This event will consider the interaction between individuals and their physical environment – the connection between plants, wild life and the world around us.

Our speakers include experts from the Cheshire Wild Life Trust , Manchester Urban Diggers and Hive5 . We will also present a case study on a local success story. You will have the opportunity to learn more about:
– the loss of biodiversity and the affect on climate change,
– how eco systems and the biodiversity they contain are natural carbon sinks

– how conserved or restored habitats can reduce the negative effects of climate change and contribute towards reducing the carbon footprint of the local area

– why biodiversity is so important for the carbon cycle.

The event is free however booking is essential.  To book your place go here.
