DESCRIPTION:Join members of the SLH team who help to lead this great event from Manchester Friends of the Earth. \nBike Friday is exactly what it says on the tin: A bike ride on the last Friday of every month. We set off from Heaton Chapel train station at 7.45am and lead on a route heading into Manchester City Centre. \nThe ride is on quiet routes and are suitable for everyone — from the regular commuter\, to the first timer wanting to try a new way of getting into work.

This exciting event is perfect for the whole family to enjoy together. We’ll be meeting at Thornfield Park on Thornfield Road in Heaton Mersey\, Stockport\, UK. \nWe’ll be on some quiet roads but our route is largely off-road including a section of the Trans Pennine Trail down to the River Mersey. At Abney Hall there’s the little cafe to enjoy and for those who want\, a short game of rounders. This is a great ride for people and families with children who want to get confident on the bike and to cycle to local places. \nThe total distance is approx 6 miles. \nBook for free on eventbrite
