DESCRIPTION:The SLH monthly meetings are on the first Saturday of the month from 10.30am to 12.00 noon.  Our meetings are held at the Patio Room\, Heaton Moor United Church\, Stanley Rd SK4 4HL. The room has direct access from the car park and has a shared kitchen and toilets very close to the room. Hot drinks will be provided for everyone. \nEveryone is welcome to our meeting. DESCRIPTION:Join volunteers from across the Heatons for our new repair café! \n\nHow does it work? \n\n\n\nRepair cafés are run by volunteers — people who have specific skills that they would like to share with the local community. These skills may include sewing or repairs to furniture/wood\, bikes\, garden tools and small electrical items. There is also a need for volunteers with “meet and greet” skills for managing the tea\, coffee and cake! Repair cafés operate once a month for a period of two hours. \n\n\n\nIs there a charge? \n\n\n\nNo\, the repairs are free\, although donations are welcome to help build the stock of tools and materials. \nDo you know anyone who might be interested in volunteering? We invite you and your loved ones to join us on a Family-Friendly Bike Ride to Station South Levensulme via the picturesque Fallowfield Loopline and if weather allows stopping off to see the Secret Lake and Levenshulme Waterfall. \nThis event is designed for families\, so bring the whole crew from littlest backseat riders to great grandparents. Oh and if you are doing the Manchester Marathon on 14th April\, this is a perfect ride to keep your legs moving 😊 \nThe Route: is perfect for riders of all skill levels\, and is mostly on quiet cycle paths. \nThe Views: we will be experiencing the green beauty of Nelstrop Lane and onto the Fallowfield Loopline loop line. There is also a need for volunteers with “meet and greet” skills for managing the tea\, coffee and cake! Repair cafés operate once a month for a period of two hours. \n\n\n\nIs there a charge? \n\n\n\nNo\, the repairs are free\, although donations are welcome to help build the stock of tools and materials. \nDo you know anyone who might be interested in volunteering? DESCRIPTION:The SLH monthly meetings are on the first Saturday of the month from 10.30am to 12.00 noon.  Our meetings are held at The Heatons Centre\, next to Heatons Library\, Thornfield Rd\, SK4 3LD (For sat nav please use SK4 4DQ). The entrance is at the back of the centre\, where you should ring the bell for the conference room. Hot drinks will be provided for everyone. It is a large well-ventilated room. \nWe are grateful to Stockport Signpost for Carers in allowing us the use of The Heatons Centre at a generous fee. Signpost for Carers (registered charity no: 1085727) owns and manages the use of the Heatons Centre. Surplus income generated from the use of this community space is used to support the wellbeing of those caring for friends and relatives across Stockport. \nEveryone is welcome to our meeting.
